\u201cMaffeo\u201d born in memory of \u201cMaffeo Eberardo Lenotti\u201d, ancestor of the Lenotti Family. He was a renowned dealer that at the end of the 18th century traded the typical products of our area (olive-oil, corn, grape and wine) supplying nobles and patricians, together with messes and refectories of many monasteries and churches of our area.\nFrom old letters of that period we can textually read (old Italian language): \u201clo sobrio nettar d\u2019oro fino del Maffeo riconforta l\u2019animo, l\u2019ingegno aguzza e fa l\u2019 uomo magnanimo. Quant\u2019\u00e8 miglior diletto versarlo dentro il petto?\u201d (the sober golden nectar of the Maffeo reconfigures the soul, it sharp the intelligence and makes the man magnanimous. How much better is it to put it into your chest? \u201c).<\/p>

It seemed to us right to pay homage to this eminent personage that already so much time ago believed in the typical products of our area and we dedicated this exquisite wine to him.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Alcohol<\/strong>: 12.5% vol.<\/p>\n

Area of Production<\/strong>: Region: Veneto. Hilly moraines in the eastern shores of Lake Garda.<\/p>\n

Grapes<\/strong>: White grapes \u201cGarganega\u201d (90%) and \u201cFernanda\u201d (10%). System of growing: espalier-guyot.<\/p>\n

Soil composition<\/strong>: Gravelly soil of morainic origin.<\/p>\n

Vinification and Production System<\/strong>: Soft pressing of the grapes, cold maceration with the skins for about 24 hours, separation of the must, fermentation at controlled temperature (15-16\u00b0C.), preservation in thermoconditioned inox tanks, cold bottling in sterile bottling line.<\/p>\n

Organoleptic Description<\/strong>: Intense dry white wine, with complex structure, tastefull and balanced.<\/p>\n

Color<\/strong>: Light straw-yellow, a little green.<\/p>\n

Bouquet<\/strong>: Fruity and intense, delicate and fine.<\/p>\n

Taste<\/strong>: Full-bodied, dry and harmonious.<\/p>\n

Serving Temperature<\/strong>: To be served cold at 8-10\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

Preservation<\/strong>: To be drunk young. Store in a fresh, dry and dark place.<\/p>\n

Gastronomic Suggestions<\/strong>: Wine for the whole meal, suggested for white meats, fish and light dishes.
