Vineyards and grapes

Over the years we have aimed to improve the quality of our grapes and our wines with constant investment, experimentation and adherence to the very best vinification procedures.

Nowadays our wine cellar offers a range of particularly high quality wines produced from carefully selected grapes from our own vineyards.

Vigneto Le Giare

Location: Bardolino, hills in the DOC Classico area. (Maps).

Surface: 45.500 m².

Particularity: It is the historic vineyard of the Lenotti Family where today the Family lives. Its hilltop position “lake view” makes it unique and inimitable.

Soil composition: Gravelly grounds of morainic origin.

Red grapes: Rondinella, Corvina, Syrah, Sangiovese.

Growing system: Espalier with guyot.

Wines produced:

Vigneto La Prà

Location: Cavaion Veronese, hills in the Bardolino DOC Classico area (Maps).

Surface: 423.700 m².

Particularity: It is the largest by extension among the Lenotti Family vineyards and is the center of the agricultural activities with an important production structure destined to the drying of the grapes.

Soil composition: Calcareous and argillaceous grounds of glacial and alluvial origin.

Red grapes: Corvina, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Oseleta, Pelara, Rebo, Dindarella, Rondinella, Merlot. White grapes: Garganega, Cortese.

Growing system: Espalier with guyot.

Wines produced:

Vigneto Santa Cristina

Location: Bardolino, hills in the DOC Classico area. (Maps).

Surface: 25.000 m².

Particularity: Historic vineyard in the back of the company, it is one of the very few still “really” near the lake (distance about 200 meters).

Soil composition: Gravelly grounds of morainic origin.

Red grapes: Corvina, Rondinella, Cabernet Sauvignon.

Growing system: Espalier with guyot.

Wines produced:

Vigneto Tacchetto

Location: Cavaion Veronese, hills in the Bardolino DOC Classico area (Maps).

Surface: 132.000 m².

Particularity: It is undergoing restructuring, with the aim of becoming soon entirely organic.

Soil composition: Calcareous and argillaceous grounds of glacial and alluvial origin.

Red grapes: Corvina, Rondinella, Merlot, Sangiovese.

White grapes: Garganega, Cortese, Pinot Grigio.

Growing system: Espalier with guyot.

Vigneto La Grola

Area: Sant’ Ambrogio di Valpolicella, hills in the Valpolicella DOC Classico area (Maps).

Surface: 53.000 m².

Particularity: It is the vineyard used for the production of all Valpolicella wines. The hilly exposure is unique. Here is the drying center of Amarone grapes.

Soil composition: Clayey and calcareous soil of glacial and alluvial origin.

Red grapes: Corvina, Rondinella, Corvinone, Oseleta.

Growing system: Espalier and pergola.

Wines produced:

Vigneto Froscà

Location: Monteforte, hills in the Soave DOC Classico area. (Maps).

Surface: 17.475 m².

Particularity: It is on the top of a high hill (Capo Colle) and it is exposed to the sun from morning to evening. The lava soil is almost “black” and full of organoleptic characteristics that make these grapes unique.

Soil composition: Volcanic.

White grapes: Garganega, Fernanda.

Growing system: Espalier with guyot.

Vigneto Le Coste

Location: Monteforte, hills in the Soave DOC Classico area. (Maps).

Surface: 19.050 m².

Particularity: Not far from our vineyard “Froscà”, always on the top of a hill, the vineyard has an eastern exposure, sunny for the whole day. Here we grow Garganega and Fernanda, and on the top of the vineyard a limited quantity of Pinot Grigio grapes, destined for the production of our special “Carlo Lenotti” Pinot Grigio Collection. The lava soil is rich in minerals and organic substances that give unique characteristics to these grapes.

Soil composition: Volcanic.

White grapes: Garganega, Fernanda.

Growing system: Espalier with guyot.

Vigneto Betulla

Location: Villages Sona and Castelnuovo del Garda, in the heart of the Custoza area. (Maps)

Surface: 262.600 m².

Particularity: Last, among the Lenotti vineyards, in order of acquisition. Here are growing exclusively white grapes. It is the vineyard where we produce the grapes for our white wine Custoza and part of our exclusive white wine “Colle dei Tigli”.

Soil composition: Gravelly grounds of morainic origin.

White grapes: Garganega, Cortese, Trebbiano, Friulano, Chardonnay e Sauvignon.

Growing system: Espalier with guyot.
